When you think of Churchill Downs Incorporated (âCDIâ), you immediately think of the "Greatest Two Minutes in Sports," The Kentucky Derby. However, youâll discover that CDI is a diversified growth company built around three core businesses. The Churchill Downs segment includes Churchill Downs Racetrack in Louisville, Ky., home of The Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks. Churchill Downs also includes Derby City Gaming, the first historical racing machine facility in Louisville, which was opened in September 2018 and currently has 1,000 historical racing machines.
The Online Wagering segment includes our advanced deposit wagering (âADWâ) business, TwinSpires.com, the largest ADW platform in the U.S., along with our online Sports Betting and iGaming business which consists of the online BetAmerica sports betting and casino gaming operations.
The Gaming segment consists of ten properties with approximately 11,200 gaming positions in eight states: Harlow's Casino Resort & Spa in Greenville, MS.; Riverwalk Casino Hotel in Vicksburg, MS., Calder Casino and Racing in Miami Gardens, FL.; Fair Grounds Slots, Fairgrounds Race Course, and 12 off-track-betting establishments in New Orleans, LA.; Oxford Casino in Oxford, ME; Presque Isle Downs and Casino in Erie, PA; Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin in Farmington, PA (management agreement); Ocean Downs Casino and Racetrack in Berlin, MD; Miami Valley Gaming in Lebanon, OH (50/50 joint venture); and Rivers Casino Des Plaines in Des Plaines, Illinois (61% owned joint venture). The Gaming segment also includes two BetAmerica Sportsbooks at our two Mississippi casino properties with plans to enter additional U.S. sports betting markets.
We also own Arlington International Racecourse in Arlington Heights, IL; United Tote, a leading supplier of totalisator systems; and our Bloodstock Research and Information Services business which provides handicapping and breeding data and publications.
