Together with our general partner, Golar LNG Limited, we are a leading independent owner and operator of LNG carriers and floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs). Golar LNG Limited is also a pioneer developer of floating liquefaction vessels (FLNGVs). Golar LNGâs vision is to break the mould in LNG. Their aim is to use their maritime expertise and innovative floating LNG assets to provide the most competitive LNG solution to monetise natural gas reserves and deliver LNG. Any LNG midstream asset that Golar LNG Limited or its affiliates contracts for a period of five years or more represents a potential acquisition target for Golar LNG Partners. Golarâs lean business model and its unique joint ventures allow it to develop LNG-based infrastructure when commodity prices are low. The price of natural gas looks set to remain low for some time. Although this has the potential to see gas displace other fossil fuels, and play a bigger role in the energy mix, the traditional approach to LNG project execution is not well suited to this environment. Golarâs low-cost, flexible infrastructure solutions are designed to thrive in this setting. As a result, prevailing market conditions are not expected to be a constraint on growth prospects for Golar Partners.
