Between 1997 and 2011, IES consisted of a group of electrical contractors. IESâ corporate vision was to achieve synergies associated with several other industry consolidations. In mid-2011, IES began a strategy to move away from the cyclical nature of electrical contracting towards strategic platforms with sustainable competitive positions or leadership positions.
With several operational initiatives and the creation of Infrastructure Solutions, IES has emerged into a holding company operating four businesses that offer industrial products and infrastructure services. While we have grown, our businesses are North American-based and are comprised of operations where many of the original owners and employees continue to lead their operations.
We seek to continue our growth by investing in current and new employees who share our ownership mindset or by acquiring businesses with similar operating philosophies, leading market positions and strong cash flow generation potential that can optimize and benefit from our unique tax attributes.
