On July 3, 2008 a bank holding company reorganization was completed whereby Oak Valley Bancorp became the parent holding company for Oak Valley Community Bank, which commenced operations in May 1991. On the date of the reorganization, each outstanding share of Oak Valley Community Bank common stock was converted into one share of Oak Valley Bancorp common stock and Oak Valley Community Bank became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the holding company. Oak Valley Bancorp's ticker symbol is OVLY, which changed from OVYB when the stock traded as Oak Valley Community Bank. Virtually all of the Bancorp's business is conducted through its sole subsidiary, Oak Valley Community Bank.
