Optibase invests in the real estate field; it currently holds properties in Switzerland,Germany and in Miami, Texas, Philadelphia and Chicago, USA. The Company is continuously looking for additional real estate investment opportunities. Established in the early 90´s, Optibase was previously engaged in the filed of digital video technologies until the sale of its video solutions business to Optibase Technologies Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of VITEC Multimedia ("Vitec") in July 2010. In March 1999 the Company had an IPO, followed by a secondary offering in March 2000 and is traded since on Nasdaq (OBAS).
