The cannabis investing market has been a volatile one in 2019. However, one niche area that has seen [consistent growth](https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/the-3-best-marijuana-stocks-to-buy-for-2020-2019-12-29), or at least, stability is the real estate investment trust for cannabis companies.

According to NASDAQ.com, Innovative Industrial Properties (NYSE: IIPR) has had an excellent end to 2019, delighting shareholders to an increase of 65%. Additionally, the stock offers something that many in the cannabis industry haven’t been able to just yet - dividends.
