Businesses that produce and distribute medical cannabis in Maryland have brought in $21.7 million in tax revenues and has also helped create over 4,000 jobs. The study was conducted by the CANMD, the Maryland Wholesale Medical Cannabis Trade Association.
The study was mainly focused on the 18 licensed growers in the state. From 2018 to 2019, the licensed businesses sold produced and sold around 36,000 pounds of flower and 2.6 million cannabis-infused consumables. Investors who are interested in putting their money into the industry might want to pay attention to the businesses emerging the state.
