Real Estate Companies Offer Canadian Cannabis Stocks the Immediate Option to Enter U.S. Markets

Due to the illegality of marijuana at the federal level in the U.S., Canadian cannabis companies cannot expand their businesses into the states while still maintaining their listings on major stock exchanges.

Companies like Innovative Industrial Properties (NYSE: IIPR) are getting around this by purchasing real estate and then selling it back to U.S. cannabis operators. This strategy avoids long wait times for exchange listings and provides consistent profits, unlike large Canadian companies.
