As part of a new broadcast agreement with NBC, Twitter will broadcast highlights of the 2020 Olympics.
To encourage engagement and discussion surrounding the global event, Twitter and NBC will partner to showcase portions of the games. Currently, Twitter’s live-streaming service is not as popular as other platforms, so global efforts might help the platform gain more following.
“It’s an ideal platform for the massive social conversation that occurs during every Olympic Games,” Gary Zenkel, the president of NBC Olympics.
