E.U. Court Makes Landmark Ruling For Internet Laws

Facebook can be legally forced to remove content across the globe. A recent E.U. Court ruling decided that if content violates defamation laws, it can be removed by individual countries. 

The ruling derived from politician Eva Glawischnig-Piesczek suing Facebook citing defamation, and the Austrian court ruled in her favor. This case highlights how complicated setting Internet law precedents can be.
