Facebook expanded its definition of terrorist organizations in efforts to limit extremism and hate speech on the platform.
Under further scrutiny in the wake of many shootings and violent outbursts, Facebook is searching for ways to limit content in that realm.
Brian Fishman, director of Facebook’s Dangerous Organizations and Individuals Policy, explains, “None of these changes are silver bullets. There’s still tons of work to do, but there's a lot of progress under the hood and we wanted to provide insight into some of that work.”
