Nature shows revealing the actual lives of animals and their environments are [rising in media popularity](https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/15/business/media/hot-nature-shows.html) and viewership. 

As these shows have recently demonstrated high ratings, streaming services are investing in the wildlife genre. 

**Michael Gunton, Creative Director of the Natural History Unit at BBC Studios, explains **“I don’t think I’ve ever seen quite the attention on natural TV programming across such a broad range of audiences and platforms and organizations.”
