Home Buyer Activity Remains High Despite Mortgage Rates Creeping Up for the Third Week in a Row

Mortgage interest rates climbed to their highest level since July reaching 4.05% for a 30-year fixed mortgage, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. Despite this increase, buyer interest and activity hasn’t slowed.

Sam Khater, chief economist at Freddie Mac noted, “…purchase actively continues to show strength, indicating obvious buyer demand.”
