Home Sales Decline More Than Expected in September as Prices Rise

Existing home sales declined by 2.2% in September reversing two straight months of gains in July and August, according to the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Prices continue to rise, up 5.9% as compared to a year ago. 

Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist at the NAR noted, “We had hoped increases would be in line with wage increases…but that wasn’t the case.”
