October saw the fastest rate of building permit authorization since 2007, increasing by 14.1% as compared to a year ago, according to the U.S. Commerce Department. The issuance of housing permits is an indicator of future new home construction.
The chief economist of the National Association of Realtors, Lawrence Yun said this, “tremendously good news for the housing sector.”
