Home prices have surpassed their pre-financial crisis peak by 15% in October, according to the S&P Case Shiller U.S. National Home Price NSA Index. Prices were up 3.3% that month vs. a year ago.
“October’s U.S. housing data continues to be reassuring… home prices are currently more than 15% above their pre-financial crisis peak reached in July 2006,” said Craig Lazzara, managing director and global head of investment strategy at S&P Dow Jones Indices.
