U.S. Investors Are Pouring into the Housing Market at Record Numbers

Investors purchasing residential real estate are at unprecedented numbers, which bodes well for the U.S. housing market, according to Deutsche Bank Research. This is due, in part, to low mortgage interest rates and the perception that housing is a better and less volatile bet than other asset classes.

Lawrence Yun, economist at the National Association of Realtors said that real estate provides a “more secure return” than, for example, stocks and bonds because of its steady price increases.
