RIT students grow the healthcare experience through exposure to vastly different health systems.

International travel in the medical field to understand different healthcare programs is part of a new RIT program to inspire better productivity and innovation. By studying different practices, students learn about the health system and variable factors like culture, political, and local environmental influences.

β€œA key challenge in health care right now is the ability to translate research to practice,” said Carla Stebbins, senior lecturer and program director. β€œIn this field, that would require translating a new policy or practice into an operating procedure and applying research findings to improve patient outcomes and organizational performance.”
