In conjunction with the traditional vaccination approach, Johnson & Johnson partnered with local officials to introduce a [second vaccine](https://www.forbes.com/sites/joshuacohen/2019/08/09/deploying-experimental-vaccines-against-ebola/#2e1a928b60c0) to address the surge in Ebola outbreaks. A ring vaccination strategy will be implemented to counter the potential shortage of the traditional vaccine used. 

**J**ohnson & Johnson will provide additional supplemental new vaccines to cover 1.5 million people in the Congo area to combat the Ebola outbreaks by working in conjunction with existing vaccine strategies.
