Over the next 35 years, the population of seniors aged 85 and over will triple, while the number of available caregivers will [steadily decline](https://www.forbes.com/sites/robertmauterstock/2019/08/30/the-caregiver-crisis-is-here/#61ed5bb97e48). The state of Maine is the most heavily impacted state, due to steady growth in the retirement population offset by the decline of younger workers.
