Procedures using the [de Vinci system grew 17% year over year](https://www.fool.com/investing/2019/10/10/where-will-intuitive-surgical-be-in-5-years.aspx) for the second quarter of 2019. Medtronic’s recent announcement of a competing system, Hugo, will forge competition and additional opportunities for growth in the robotic healthcare sector.
