Ride-sharing competitors announce healthcare partnerships to capture a portion of the $150 billion gap from missed patient appointments. 

Uber and Lyft each announced significant healthcare partnerships in the last week to tackle healthcare transportation. By allowing caregivers to schedule rides for patients or covering Medicare beneficiaries, the companies aim to expand into healthcare and capture profits from formerly missed appointments and improved access to healthcare.
