Based on information released by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), business and general aviation billings were up 14% in 2019 topping out at $23.51 billion, compared to 2018’s $20.56 billion.
Business jet deliveries were at the highest level since 2009
But the growth was not even across the industry. While business jet sales soared, turboprop sales lagged. Altogether, more than 2,600 fixed-wing business aircraft, both jet and turboprop were delivered.
Meanwhile, piston-powered and turbine-powered helicopter sales were down by 148 units, from last year’s total of 967 total helicopters delivered.
