Business Jets 2019 and Beyond

Speed, luxury, range, comfort, number of passengers—are (or will be) available in various combinations from developing supersonic business jets, to specially equipped airliners. Business jet seating can range from five to 80+ passengers ranging in price from $4-5 million to more than $200 million.

The high-end supersonic business jets will carry the highest price tags.  The Aerion AS2 ($120 million) will carry 12 passengers at speeds of 1.5 Mach while the HyperMach SonicStar is projected to carry up to 32 passengers at speeds in excess of Mach 5 (around 4000 miles per hour) at an estimated cost of $220 million.

If passenger count and comfort are more important than blinding speed, all major airline aircraft manufacturers offer business jet versions of their passenger aircraft with seating for up to 85.

And, of course, there is a full range of smaller business jets from companies such as Bombardier, Cessna, Dassault, Gulfstream, HondaJet, and Lear priced from $2 million.
