Familiar in unmanned aerial systems (UAS), Flirtey may not be the most familiar name in manufacturing. They have, however, been very active in developing delivery drones. In 2018, they demonstrated the rapid delivery of automated defibrillator deliveries to homes.
Participating in the FAA’s Drone Integration Pilot Program in Reno, Nevada, Flirty has launched an operational drone delivery service.
Equally important to the drone itself, is the underlying control system that Flirtey has developed to enable autonomous delivery from store to home.
According to Flirtey’s Founder and CEO, Matthew Sweeny, “We are thrilled to now reveal Flirtey’s industry-leading technology to the world. We expect Flirtey’s advanced drone delivery system will become the industry standard in America.”
Flirtey has been approval to “conduct multi-drone delivery operations, enabling a single remote pilot to simultaneously oversee ten Flirtey drones.”
Flirtey’s system works in local environments providing 10-minute delivery of parcels or life-saving defibrillators.
