Earlier this week, Tesla announced the release of its Megapack battery, a utility-scale energy storage solution designed to support the electrical grid during hours of peak demand with stored wind and solar energy.
Tesla’s energy storage solution can improve grid reliability and decrease costs by allowing utilities to store power during low-demand periods for deployment during high-demand periods. Tesla will deploy Megapacks at four locations in California.
