The tech giant and healthcare conglomerate are working on a new study to determine whether wearable health devices can help [reduce the risk of stroke](https://www.reuters.com/article/us-apple-health-j-j/apple-jj-to-study-if-apple-watch-can-help-reduce-stroke-risk-idUSKBN20J1RE). 

Apple and Johnson & Johnson are partnering on a study designed to determine whether the health features on an iPhone app combined with the Apple Watch wearable device can help reduce the risk of stroke. Last year, Apple published its Heart study, which found that the Apple Watch could accurately detect atrial fibrillation, the most common type of irregular heartbeat.
