Apple, Inc. has agreed to a $500 million settlement to resolve lawsuits filed in 2018 over battery performance issues.
The lawsuit alleges that Apple Inc. intentionally slowed down the performance of older iPhones to induce owners to buy new phones or replacement batteries. The class-action suit has reached a settlement agreement for $500 million, which works out to $25 per iPhone affected by the scandal. Apple continues to deny any wrongdoing associated with the case.
