AES Corporation, an independent power producer, entered into a “10-year strategic alliance,” with Google.
In the company’s latest commitment to clean energy, Google has agreed to partner with AES in a strategic alliance. The partnership uses cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and other cutting-edge technologies to support clean energy development and modernize the electric grid. The companies have already started work on two projects in Chile: a 100MW wind farm and an 80MW solar farm.
President and CEO of AES Andrés Gluski, said that the new partnership would combine the “capabilities, footprint and experience of both companies.”
