SpaceX is currently constructing its orbital Starship prototype at its facility in Boca Chica, Texas.
Starship is a critical component of Elon Musk’s program to build an interplanetary colony on Mars. The vessel is designed to fly an average of three times per day, carrying over 100 tons on each trip. Musk has expressed the intention to put 1,000 Starships into service over the course of the next 10 years.
According to Musk, “anyone can go if they want, with loans available for those who don’t have money.”
