Public health authorities can let the ride-hailing company know about confirmed cases on the online portal to allow their Enforcement Response Team to suspend Uber accounts accordingly.

Any riders or drivers who have contracted or even been exposed to the coronavirus can have their Uber accounts temporarily suspended. Public health authorities are permitted to share information with Uber’s global law Enforcement Response Team. For drivers and deliverers, the company is awarding 14 days of financial assistance while the accounts are on hold.

"We’re also consulting with an epidemiologist to make sure our efforts as a company are grounded in medical advice,” Uber said in its coronavirus policy.
