A large survey conducted by the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) revealed that 80% of those adults surveyed believe that housing affordability has hit “crisis” levels, with a majority saying that the government should do something about it. According to CoreLogic, a leading real estate data and analytics company, home price appreciation will hit 5.4% by 2020.
The chairman of the NAHB, Greg Ugalde said, “Housing affordability is near a 10-year low and this poll confirms the challenge hard-working families face to keep housing within reach as raising costs continue to outpace wage growth”.
