Redfin rolled-out its Redfin Direct program into several large California areas this week, adding millions of homes in some of the most expensive housing markets in the U.S. Redfin Direct allows home buyers to bid directly on Redfin listings, thus avoiding the 2.5% to 3.0% buyer-side commission.
According to Mark Bennet, Redfin’s state broker in California, “For buyers who are comfortable being unrepresented, we are making it easy to make an offer online…”
